Rob Gonda is a Senior Executive with proven successes at leading innovation, technology, and marketing in multiple environments. Rob has led growth and transformation for multiple companies ranging from iconic global brands like McDonald’s to startups. At McDonald’s, Rob spearheaded a transformation centered around modernization of the customer experience and becoming a data & insights driven-business, resulting in the business more than doubling market cap during his leadership. He is a dynamic thought leader, combining unique approaches to technology, business, digital, and marketing strategies. He is results-oriented and highly effective at adapting to rapidly changing environments and resolving mission critical issues to ensure bottom line success. Focused on trends, strategies,
innovation, competitive landscape, product, and complex developmental methodologies, standards, and future technology direction.

As the Vice President, Global Digital & Data for McDonald’s, Rob led the digital transformation of one of the most iconic brands in history. The most visible examples of the impact Rob led are in web, kiosk, and mobile channels, delivering e-commerce, marketing, loyalty, and CRM capabilities, and all reporting and business intelligence to drive it. In this role, he was directly responsible for a corporate budget of \$80M a year and leading a \$500M digital acceleration initiative, leading strategy and execution of digital technology ranging from customer facing products, technology platforms, and data and analytics.

Rob sold his company iChameleon to Sapient, a Publicis company that addresses today’s digital business transformation imperative. Sapient Interactive was created and led by Rob for the Mobile, Social, Digital Strategy, Innovation, R&D practices. In this role, Rob served as strategic advisor for top clients. He helped launch new digital vending machines for Coca-Cola; marketing platforms for Unilever, Kellogg’s, NASCAR, and Diageo; digital and mobile strategy for Bed Bath & Beyond, and Ann Taylor; modernized customer experience for Chrysler, Miami Heat; In-Store Innovation for Marks and Spencer’s and Tesco; 3d Printing for Castrol, and Augmented Reality for Samsung. An example of the innovation Rob brought was his launch of one of Coca-Cola’s most successful global marketing campaigns to-date, for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. Coca-Cola supported players’ goal celebrations and launched a global sweepstake to collect fan celebrations across the globe. The campaign launched in web, mobile, social media, YouTube, messenger games, collecting millions of fan-generated videos and has served as a model for organizations seeking a global reach.

In his most recent role as Executive Vice President, Chief Technology and Product Officer at Catalina Marketing, a portfolio company of Berkshire Partners, Rob led company’s digital transformation resulting in operational efficiency and gross margin expansion of 20% year-over-year, tripled development capacity and improved speed to market by factor of 10x, and created adjacent business model and revenue diversification, driving up to 20% of company revenue through new products in the first year for this industry leader of consumer insights serving the CPG industry.

Rob has been received numerous awards by leading organizations that include Cannes Lions, South by Southwest, Addy, SoFi, Belding, W3 and Ads of the World for his innovative and transformative work. He is a regular contributor to Forbes, and contributing columnist for AdAge, AdWeek, DigiDay and has appeared on Bloomberg and Reuters Innovators TV series.
